Reflections on Usenet newsgroups

I found Usenet groups not very useful as I struggled to find a relevant group that related to "the digital divide".

There is an upside though, that if you can find a page relevant, then the information is very solid, and any mistakes are usually corrected by other posters. However, despite all this many newsgroups are based on opinions, an example of this being one critising various political figures about their pushing for the advancement of the digital divide.

S.E. Andreson says "'Digital divide' affects school success Kids with home computers more likely to graduate".

This information was obtained at http://groups.google.co.uk/group/bnyee/browse_thread/thread/3765d0d21422b571/8b84d0414107fa3b?hl=en&lnk=gst&q=digital+divide#8b84d0414107fa3b
